Pro Tips for Better Results
Write Clear Abstracts
Use clear, descriptive language in your abstract. Include research objectives, methods, and key findings.
Use Specific Keywords
Include relevant keywords and research terms. This helps our AI match with appropriate journals.
Check Journal Metrics
Review H-Index and SJR values. Higher values generally indicate more prestigious journals.
Consider Quartiles
Q1 and Q2 journals are typically higher impact. Q3 and Q4 are more niche but still valuable.
Verify Journal Scope
Always check the journal's scope and recent publications to ensure good fit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the analysis take?
Usually 15–20 seconds: finding the closest journals takes a moment, and most of the time goes into the AI reading the candidates and writing a reason for each.
Can I save my searches?
Yes. Sign in (free) and every analysis is saved to My Manuscripts with its recommendations, so you can come back to it, shortlist journals and track submissions.
How many journals are in your database?
32,000+ journals, book series and conference proceedings indexed in Scopus, with metrics from the SCImago Journal Rank 2025 and research topics from OpenAlex.
Is my manuscript data safe?
Your title and abstract travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our server and to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce the analysis. If you are not signed in, we do not save them. If you are signed in, each analysis is saved to My Manuscripts so you can come back to it, and you can delete it at any time. We never sell or publish your manuscripts.
Is there a limit?
Visitors can run 3 analyses a day and signed-in users 20, which keeps the service free. Browsing the journal database is unlimited.
What if I don't like the recommendations?
Try refining your abstract with more specific keywords, or browse our journal database manually to find alternatives.
